DESCRIPTION:Solstice: Castlemaine Community House Professional Practice Students Group Exhibition \n\n\n\nSOLSTICE is a group exhibition of work by local artists\, opening on the winter solstice following a course on professional art practice at the Castlemaine Community House. \n\n\n\nArtists Sally Berridge\, Jade Ferguson and Georgia Laughton have created new work to show at lot19 Gallery.  \n\n\n\nGeorgia Laughton has developed a collection of photographs reflecting her late-age autism diagnosis. Jade Ferguson has created symbolic oil paintings and black and white chiaroscuro portraits. Sally Berridge is exploring the effects of various papers and paints on watercolours\, especially in Turner’s works. \n\n\n\nSOLSTICE opens on the winter solstice\, Friday 21 June\, 5-7pm. \n\n\n\nThe exhibition is open for viewing Sat 22 + Sun 23 June\, and Sat 29 + Sun 30 June from 11am – 4pm. There will be artist talks at 11.30am daily.
