SUMMARY:Resonant Fields
DESCRIPTION:By Dominic Crinson\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHolding Space Between Chaos and Coherence\n\n\n\nResonant Fields brings together paintings and ceramics that explore the continual search for coherence. Using simple geometric forms as a visual language\, the work investigates the relationship between coherence and instability\, asking how structures emerge\, hold tension and remain open to change. \n\n\n\nMade with clay gathered from the Central Goldfields and incorporating gold throughout the work\, the exhibition is rooted in a landscape shaped by both radiance and rupture: the prosperity of the gold rush\, and the environmental and cultural consequences it left behind. The work draws on this history as both a material and symbolic presence. \n\n\n\nWhile many pieces begin with archetypal geometric forms\, they have gradually evolved into a personal geometry shaped as much by the response of the material as by intention. The work embraces the consequences of making. Firing\, reduction and\, in some cases\, raku become active collaborators. Cracks\, ruptures and unexpected surfaces are not corrected but carried forward\, allowing disruption itself to participate in the search for coherence. \n\n\n\nOpening:Friday 7 August\, 5-7pm\n\n\n\nExhibition dates:Fridays\, Saturdays & Sundays\, 7 to 23 August10am to 4pm

SUMMARY:ZÖJ 2026 Album Launch Tour - 20 Sep at Lot19
DESCRIPTION:May the Devil’s Ear Be Deaf\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nA powerful cross-cultural journey through deep listening\, improvisation\, and Persian poetry.\n\n\n\nZÖJ presents their captivating fusion of neo-classical Persian music and experimental rhythms. \n\n\n\nLaunching their third album\, May The Devil’s Ear Be Deaf\, recorded live at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity in Canada\, ZÖJ invite listeners into an intimate and powerful evening. \n\n\n\nDrawing inspiration from a Persian saying often spoken when something beautiful is expressed aloud\, the album title is used to ward off envy or misfortune\, acknowledging that beauty and hope can also carry risk. \n\n\n\n‘This album carries the breath of its making\, no retakes\, no disguises. Each sound was played only once\, then left to live or die. To make something so fragile is a way of trusting life itself.’ – Gelareh Pour \n\n\n\nPraise for ZÖJ\n\n\n\n‘May this music offer a drop of solace\, a gesture of care\, and a call to stay human.’ – African Paper \n\n\n\n‘I return to this album when I want to feel again that music can be a mirror of the soul.’ – Anxious Musick Magazine \n\n\n\n‘One kneels before such beauty.’ – Inactuelles\, musiques singulières \n\n\n\n‘Exhilarating and heart-stoppingly beautiful.’ – The Music Show\, ABC Radio National \n\n\n\n\nTICKETS
