The Castlemaine Fringe Festival brings its signature creativity to the State Festival with It’s a Kind of Wonder – a wearable art exhibition that transforms fashion into fantasy.
The exhibition showcases handmade works that are bold, playful and unapologetically individual. Each piece redefines what it means to wear art – from sculptural headpieces to textile experiments that blure the line between costume and concept. The result is an explosion of colour, craft and character, true to Castlemaine’s reputation as a creative melting pot. It’s a Kind of Wonder is an invitation to revel in the weird and wonderful – to see the human body not just as a canvas, but as a living artwork.
